Colon Hydrotherapy in San Antonio, TX

How does the colon cleansing process work?

Three of your main concerns can be alleviated from the start: There are no drugs, no chemicals, and the process is relaxing and mostly pain-free. One of our well-trained colon hydrotherapists will be with you at all times and will conduct the procedure. A small tube is gently inserted into your rectum, carries water in, and lets the waste out. There is no smell and no mess.

Your privacy is completely respected, and you are completely covered up with the exception of the tube’s insertion. You will be in your own separate room, and relaxing, atmospheric music plays lightly in the background.

Colon Hydrotherapy

(a) Identification. A colonic irrigation system is a device intended to instill water into the colon through a nozzle inserted into the rectum to cleanse (evacuate) the contents of the lower colon. The system is designed to allow evacuation of the contents of the colon during the administration of the colonic irrigation. The device consists of a container for fluid connected to the nozzle via tubing and includes a system which enables the pressure, temperature, or flow of water through the nozzle to be controlled. The device may include a console-type toilet and necessary fittings to allow the device to be connected to water and sewer pipes. The device may use electrical power to heat the water. The device does not include the enema kit (876.5210).

(b) Classification. (1) Class II (performance standards) when the device is intended for colon cleansing when medically indicated, such as before radiological or endoscopic examinations.

Here at Alternative Therapy Center, we provide a safe, private, relaxing environment. Your certified Colon Hydrotherapist is with you the entire time. Besides the insertion of the speculum ( an attachment of a small tube that carries a transition of cool and warm, filtered water in, and lets the waste out), you are covered the entire time. This method is a slow infusion of hydrating water at a pressure that is kept at a ¼ PSI.

Our device is the closed system method which means that the speculum that is inserted, releases the fecal matter straight in through into our device and into the sewer system and there is no opening in the device and no odor.

Our closed system device is the Hydro San Plus. For more information on the device, please visit the website.
